Giant Ant show off this amazing animation that animates the words of philosopher John O’Donohue. In it, John muses on “being” and the idea of self.

He describes how the way that we introduce ourselves and talk about ourselves doesn’t often reflect who we really are inside. Or to put it another way, we can’t do our complex and complicated life story justice, when it’s reduced to a short introductory paragraph. The animation brilliantly shows us the inner workings of ourselves and our minds. The blend of John’s words and the visuals are a perfect mix.

Amazing Animation Tells Us What It's Like

It shows us the duality of our biography and our identity. The video shows us how we’re split in two, between our unknowable, inner selves and our outward projection of our visible selves. The animation does a stunning job of making a complex philosophical idea a lot easier to understand and appreciate.
