Alzheimer’s Research UK have released a new campaign video featuring Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston using an orange to signify the effects dementia can have on a human brain. Studies have found that after being affected by the disease, a patient’s brain can weigh anything up to 140 grams lighter than a healthy brain – about the weight of an orange. The video encourages viewers to #ShareTheOrange by spreading the video around, and uses animated figures living their lives on the orange’s surface to represent how Alzheimers disease can erode memories and brain functions from someone who is suffering from the illness.
