Nando’s launched an ad series called Booth Truths this week, where four celebs chat about various topics whilst enjoying a Nando’s meal.

This episode features the rapper AJ Tracey, People Just Do Nothing star Asim Chaudhry, Capital presenter Roman Kemp and photographer Ashley Verse. The chats range from funny conversations about interactions with fans to more serious topics like mental health. The questions that are given to them in this ad encourages each person to open up about any personal issues. More and more brands have been using their platforms to promote mental health wellbeing in recent years. Nando’s are doing their part to promote positive messages about mental health as well in this ad.

Nando’s have made an effort include celebrities in this ad that represent the modern face of London. Interestingly, the chicken chain has become a favourite of lots of rappers in London over the years. Famous examples include the viral “Nando’s Skank” song by Example and Ed Sheeran, as well as the Hip Hop hit “Cheeky Nando’s” made by YouTube comedian David “Vuj” Vujanic. Nando’s seem to be embracing this street image they’ve got by including urban artists and actors in their ads.
