So in a pretty weird marketing turn, adidas Originals have released a video narrated by the one and only Bez of the Happy Mondays. The video is celebrating the “second summer of love”, i.e the explosion of British rave culture in the 90’s that extended out across Europe to places like Ibiza. The video features models clad in adidas garb on their own journey around a beautiful island of paradise, as Bez’s voiceover reminisces about the days that led to his and the bands success, and the kind of spirit that fuelled the revellers at these illegal parties that lasted till well past dawn (we’re gonna guess it wasn’t just the alcohol).
