Adidas and Foot Locker travel to London and Paris to meet two creative rappers to find out how their area inspires them.
Kojey Radical grew up in Hoxton, East London. The area is a hub for creative talent and awesome street art. It’s got a complicated history though and was previously known as a run-down part of the capital. Over the past 10 years, Hoxton has gone through rapid gentrification, but still retains much of it’s working-class spirit. It still produces plenty of talented artists and creatives, just like Kojey himself.
Oboy takes us for a tour around the Villeneuve district in Paris. He says it’s a bit grey and ugly, but it’s the people and residents here that make it special. It’s always alive and buzzing and there’s always someone around to hang out with. Much like Hoxton, the area fosters creativity and excitement, with countless musicians and footballers coming out of the district. Are you inspired by the place you’re from? Let us know down in the comments below.
