When a live video is started on Facebook, there is actually a slight delay between the broadcasted video taking place and actually being sent out via the site. Irish indie rock band The Academic used this delay to create a whole new version of their single Bear Claws. For the live video that was broadcast on their page, they rearranged the song into a whole bunch of loops, using the delay as well as a screen projecting their broadcast behind them to gradually build the song up into its crescendo. It’s a creative and truly hypnotic thing to watch as the video tunnel behind the band keeps extending, with the likes and reactions they are getting on the video actually adding into the effect.
