Film maker and sports enthusiast Phillip Klein went on a skiing trip in his living room in this innovative stop-motion film.

He tells us how he was planning on going on a skiing trip with his family, before his plans were cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic. He still wanted to have an adventure, so decided to recreate his trip using stop-motion and a bit of ingenuity.

He lays out on his side and creates all of the elements of the mountain by using his ski equipment and old white sheets. He seems to be having a lot of fun, as he whips down his homemade mountain. But then, things start go wrong as he slips and crashes on the mountain face. Well, we’re sure he’s OK though. Falling on some soft sheets has got to be less painful that falling down a mountain face for real. He reminds us to stay home at the end of the video. It’s a fun and clever reminder of how we can all put on holiday plans on hold for now, or at least have a virtual holiday like Phillip.
