This moody and stylised 3D animated short film is a tense and surprisingly gory Western story, featuring both cowboys and samurai swords in equal measure. The film follows a mysterious character entering an old-timer bar and requesting a glass of water, only his bizarre coins don’t exactly meet the establishment’s standards. Luckily, he pays his way by carving up a wanted outlaw who tries to take his sword off him, leaving the bartender to take the ransom money. The animation styling is gritty and dark, with the details on both the characters and the environments so well done you can almost smell the heat coming off the screen, and any animation which involves fountains of blood gets an instant thumbs up from us.
