To kick off the 2018 soccer season New York City FC decided to raise their profile by hosting an event at the Rockefeller Centre – in honour of being the official club of the city that never sleeps, they hosted a 24 hour non-stop football game. The promotional video about the event shows some of the action at the game as well as the crowds that were drawn to it, but what really stands out are the stats… 714 players, 797 goals, 3,425 shots, 308 nutmegs and 12,042 tackles – we’re not sure who we feel more sorry for, the players who actually had to play or the people who had to sit and count up all the tackles for 24 hours.
