To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stanley Kubrick’s ground-breaking masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey, Warner Bros. Pictures are re-releasing the move in cinemas on 70mm film. This format will display the film in as close to an original format as is possible, with “no digital tricks, remastered effects, or revisionist edits”, making it as close as you can get to what Kubrick’s vision of the film was back in 1968. With a worldwide theatrical release in the works, this will be a brilliant opportunity to see one of the most important films in history the way it was supposed to be seen.
