This beautiful animation entitled BIG FISH is a Moby Dick-esque tale of a young boy battling a giant whale in order to rescue a girl. Made in a stop-motion style, the boy is at first lost at sea and alone, before the giant sea monster reveals itself in front of him. Swan-diving into its mouth, the boy is taken to some weirdly calm field of flowers where the girl is waiting for him (we can’t comment on how anatomically correct this animation is). Torn apart again, the ending of the short film sees the boy continuing his chase of the creature, most likely forever.
